It's a beautiful world, we live in...

Sigh. It's been very disturbing reading the news in recent times. Somehow or rather, it affects me personally, and I dont know what to make of it.

This taken from Strong S'pore needed to say 'no' to neighbours -Lee

And so, according to MM the minority is marginalised in our neighbouring countries. But I feel like I am marginalised in my own country. Tit for tat?

Now this, taken from

Pope's Islam comments condemned

Why Mister Pope, did you have to make such strong remarks? You do know that the extremists and fundamentalist thrive on remarks tat borders on hatred and anger, and will juz propel them and ignite these angry men. Hope you guys can find the time and participate in the polls on the left-hand side, stating whether Da Pope should apologize for his remarks. I think he should. Well, again, juz a personal opinion.

And finally, the much celebrated, for all the wrong reasons, the much-hyped IMF / World Bank Meet. Supposedly bringing in the moolah, i wonder how much has already been spent in view of the event. Will the money be justified to cover all the cost of holding this meeting, or has it already been spent, to 'spruce' our good ol country to make it more colorful, eye-catching. The huge number of NSmen involved, you do the accounts. The falling revenues of the business in Suntec who have been major victims instead of the promised 'windfall'. We spent so much wooing the IMF bigwigs, painting a Uniquely Singapore, and now, the focus is on Singapura being a country runned on draconian laws, and in Mister Paul Wolfowitz words, "Enormous damage has been done and a lot of that damage is done to Singapore and self-inflicted. This could have been an opportunity for them to showcase to the world their development process."

Now, for everything planned sui sui, it has come to this. Were we made scapegoats, in a bid for the IMF to garner support from the NGOs and CSOs? This has really been like a slap in the face aint it.

How does these all affect me? Im a Malay Muslim living in Singapura.
