Oh yea, have i told you my soccer career has come full circle. Abt 3 weeks back, my dept had this futsal competition. Your dear beloved writer here was given the role of, gasp, shot-stopper aka goalpeeper (goalkeeper). Starting out as a central midfielder ala Roy Keane back in primary skool with the New Town Rangers, then as ace striker ala Fandi Ahmad in secondary skool, then as central defender ala the late Borhan Abu Samah in the JI days, and now, in my early 20s, as a goalkeeper. I should be featured in that new TCS show Full Circle. Who cares abt sisters reunited or boys turning into daughters. They'd wanna watch more abt a player that started of as a midfielder and hung up his boots as a striker.

So i conceded like the least goals in the tourney. 4 goals in 6 games. 2 clean sheets. We were the only team that had the same keeper playing all the matches. We got 2nd place. Not bad. Good feeling to hear people telling me, wah difficult to score against u leh. Those of u who have seen me in the flesh, i yam not that big a man.
