in a couple of hours, i will be jetting to BKK/Koh Samet. So i wld like to wish all of you lovely netizens a Happy New Year and may 2006 be a better year for all of you. But before i leave for this much needed getaway, let me share with you a couple of my fave things for the past year.

agent_yun's Top 5 albums of 2005 (in no particular order...yes this is very subjective, but this albums kept me buzzing for the year)

franz ferdinand-you could have it so much better/album's selling point - all the 13songs!
bloc party-silent alarm/album's selling point - upon hearing the guitar riffs on 'helicopter' u will immediately get hooked.+ kele okereke vox is soothing like vicks vaporub.
doves- some cities/album's selling point -one of the most underrated british bands.just listen to song number 5 'the storm'
kanye west-late registration/album's selling point- kids,hiphop is more than just listening to eminem whining abt how he wld buy his kid a mockingbird.production on this album is bloody good,amazing collabos and yes, i am a hiphop fan.fashizzy mah nizziess.the only rap album worth buying.
coldplay-X&Y/album's selling point-need i say more?
notable mentions- sufjan stevens,beck,MIA,new pornographers,editors,the rakes,the decemeberists,the observatory

word of 2005 - 'sachiok'(dunno if its the rite spelling) - means cool/nice/attention grabbing.
i first heard dis word when one of my colleagues, a Malay hanyut wannabe, who upon seeing my handphone said" Phone lu sachiok.....brape sak kau beli?" yes sachiok is my word for 2005. this hancur kids, i mean hanyut kids can write up their own thesarus if they want to.

lousiest month of 2005 - august..NDP duty was hell. Sporeans love fireworks. I just dun understand why they have to drag their OLD parents andBABIES knowing that there wld be a crowd. can watch TV wat!

movie of 2005- Batman Begins.The best Batman movie ever.Chronicles of Narnia comes a close second.

dumbass moment of 2005-Zoukout.dun ask me y.if u noe, u noe lah.hahaha.

most memorable moment of 2005 - Liverpool crowned Champions of Europe 2005.i know i am not alone in this but during half time, i nearly cried and made a lot of empty promises to God so that my team wld stage a miracolous comeback to win the match.It worked didnt it?hehe.

2006.....i am on the wrong side of my twenties....damn it......Have a good one u'hear?
